Bespoke Creation Process

By opening up my workshop and collaborating with you throughout the creation process, we are able to build a clear brief together, agree on an approach and ensure we are both pleased with the final outcome. Your involvement in this process also means you walk away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the process and the piece.

While my approach is tailored to every client and brief, an outline of my bespoke creation process and the steps I typically take in collaboration with you are described below.

Step 1: The Brief. We will meet to discuss your needs, likes, dislikes and confirm aspects such as timeline, materials and budget. From here, I will build a tailored approach and quote just for you.

Step 2: Illustrate. Along with a detailed quote, an illustration allows me to create an impression of the ring so that we can talk through the shape, size, and fine design details.

Step 3: Source. We will explore diamond and gemstone options. I am able to guide you through choosing diamond or gemstone characteristics so that you have an educated understanding of your jewellery piece. Ranging from quality, size, origin and ethical sourcing processes, this also ensures the piece will align with your budget.

Step 4: Prototype. I like to share a prototype model to give an accurate impression of the size and shape. This is an important step in the process as it gives dimension to the illustrated concept and highlights if there is a need for any changes before proceeding with the final piece.

Step 5: Create. This is a handmade process using a variety of ancient and modern jewellery techniques to create a jewellery piece of exceptional quality. The style and materials influence the chosen process and this is shared with you along the way to ensure a high standard of workmanship.

Step 6: Admire. The bespoke process ensures you will have a jewellery piece that speaks for itself. Whether the finished piece celebrates one of life’s biggest moments or has been designed to simply sparkle and spread joy, it is now time to admire your unique piece of handcrafted jewellery. This inclusive process will also leave you with an understanding of the art and science behind jewellery making.
