A Client’s Perspective On A Custom Design Process

These diamond stud earrings were commissioned as a piece of jewellery that could be securely worn everyday. The style of the setting was shaped to accentuate angles of the diamond. The post of the earring was modified as a screw back to create a secure earring when worn. Afterwards, I asked my client to share some thoughts on the design process and value of custom jewellery.

What is your favourite thing about the earrings?
Apart from the brilliant quality of the diamonds and custom setting, under Susan’s guidance and sound judgement, I loved being involved in the start to finish process - from selecting the diamonds through to designing the settings and landing on the final design. The end result is just stunning. I love everything about my diamond earrings. My appreciation of what’s involved has grown immensely through this process.
What makes the earrings unique?
Everything about my diamond earrings is unique, thanks to Susan. Not only were the diamonds carefully selected, the setting was made to fit my ears. Whenever I wear them, I know there are no others like it in the world.
